The hakama sizes refer to hakama for men, with a length up to the ankles and tied flush with the obi. Measured without the cuff (this is approx. 4 cm long).
As women usually tie the hakama above the pelvis, they need 1 to 2 sizes larger than indicated in the following table.

Special case of body proportions outside the norm
