You can buy genuine katana from us. We offer a wide selection from different centuries. Very early swords from the 10th - 14th century are rare and are often no longer allowed to leave Japan.

There is a comprehensive selection of different samurai swords from the 15th to 20th centuries in our shop.

The swords are characterised by the fact that they are all made in the famous Japanese blacksmithing tradition. This includes the use of Japanese Tamahagane steel, which produces an attractive pattern on the blade surface (Hada) and the traditional clay hardening, which results in the special look of the hardened edge (Hamon).

There are also some other very individual details on each sword. Each blade bears the signature of the blacksmith who made it. In many examples, the blade tang was also signed by the blacksmith (Mei).
Such pieces of jewellery naturally also need the right care. The right Care utensils from Japan are also available from us.

Bokken wooden swords are also indispensable for martial arts training. We import these directly from Japan and can therefore offer good quality bokken for everyday training.

Of course also authentic accessories for Katana

We also offer a comprehensive range of accessories such as replacements for the wearing parts on the Iaito. Experience has shown that the sword scabbard (saya) suffers relatively badly with regular training.
So it's good to know that you can get supplies from us if you need them.

But there are also interesting accessories for the simple wooden training swords (bokken), such as plastic sword sheaths or special tsuba.

Standard accessories such as hakama and gi are of course also available from us in very good quality.

How expensive are real katana from Japan?

Before you buy a katana that comes from Japan, it makes sense to consider whether it should be an antique sword or a new production. The prices for samurai antiques have fallen in recent years and some Japanese blades can be bought for as little as 4-5 thousand euros.

Each of these swords has its own story and is a real collector's item.

Another option is to buy a newly made katana from a current master blacksmith from Japan. The currently practising Japanese swordsmiths combine knowledge that has matured over generations with the latest metallurgical findings and still produce high-quality katana today using traditional methods.

The production of such a Japanese master sword is time-consuming and many well-trained craftsmen work hand in hand. The price is usually around 10-50 thousand euros.

In terms of price and quality, the swords are therefore not comparable with simple Replicathat you can find on the Internet.
