MUNEKAGE (統景), Bunroku (文禄, 1592-1596), Bungo “Hōshū Takada-jū Fujiwara Munekage” (豊州高田住 藤原統景), real name Nakama Yo´ichibei (仲摩与市兵衛), Taira-Takada school, the legend says that he received, like Muneyuki (統行), the character for “Mune” (統) from the sengoku-daimyō Ōtomo Yoshimune (大友義統, 1558-1610), the jigane is an itame mixed with masame and ji-nie which appears sometimes as a kind of zanguri, the hamon is a hiro-suguha mixed with ko-midare in nioi-deki with a compact nioiguchi, ko-ashi and many yō, he is considered as one of the best representative smiths of the Taira-Takada school, chū-saku
